Welcome to Brijet (“we”, “us”, “our”). Brijet operates a digital platform (the Brijet App and Brijet Website) that connects passengers, riders, and partners for booking and completing kekenapep (tricycle) rides, package deliveries, and other related services across Nigeria.
By signing up, creating an account, completing Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, funding your Brijet wallet, or using our services in any form, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.
Brijet is operated in compliance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Failure to meet these requirements may result in suspension or termination of your account.
To access or use any Brijet service (as a User, Rider, or Partner), you must:
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
Before booking a ride or using Brijet services, you must fund your wallet through approved payment channels in the app or website. All wallet funding transactions are instant and final. A small service fee or percentage may be deducted by Brijet on every wallet funding transaction. Offline payments are not accepted to ensure security and full transaction traceability.
All ride payments are processed automatically through the Brijet platform. When a ride or delivery is completed, payment is deducted from the User’s wallet instantly. Brijet deducts a platform commission from the fare before crediting the Rider’s wallet. Riders can withdraw their available balance to their registered bank accounts. Users and Riders cannot negotiate offline payments, as all transactions must go through the Brijet platform for safety and security.
Refunds may only be issued under specific conditions such as duplicate transactions or verified service disruptions caused by Brijet systems. All refund decisions are subject to verification and approval by Brijet’s finance team.
All bookings must be made online through the Brijet App or Website. Offline bookings are strictly prohibited to ensure user safety and ride traceability. Users must fund their wallet before booking a ride.
Users specify the ride type (e.g., drop, passenger, delivery, charter, or load) and the budget they are willing to pay. Riders see booking requests and can choose to accept a ride. Once a Rider accepts, both User and Rider receive details to complete the trip safely.
Video recording and selfie/photo verification are mandatory for all bookings. Users must provide a selfie or package photo depending on the ride type. Riders must confirm the identity of the User (or package) before starting the ride. This ensures mutual safety, accountability, and prevents fraud.
Upon completion of the ride, the payment is automatically processed from the User’s wallet. The Rider’s wallet is credited after deduction of Brijet’s platform commission. All payments are instant, and both parties can view the transaction in their app accounts.
Brijet automatically deducts a platform commission on all completed rides before crediting Riders. Brijet may also charge funding or withdrawal fees as applicable. Fees and rates are subject to change; updates will be communicated via the app or website.
Brijet collects and processes user data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and applicable laws. Personal data (including IDs, photos, videos, and location data) may be used for identity verification, safety monitoring, and fraud prevention. By using Brijet, you consent to our collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Violations may lead to account suspension, legal action, or reporting to authorities.
Brijet acts solely as a technology platform connecting users and riders. Brijet does not own or operate tricycles and is not liable for accidents, damages, losses, or personal injuries during rides, delays, or cancellations. Users and Riders agree to use the platform at their own risk.
Brijet reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws, withhold or reverse payments in case of fraud, or modify/discontinue services at any time. Users may deactivate their accounts by contacting support.
Brijet may modify these Terms periodically. Changes will be posted on the website or app and will take effect immediately upon publication. Continued use of Brijet after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, in accordance with Nigerian Arbitration laws.
